Artist Statement

Sabina’s artistic progress is cyclical in nature. She has embraced new printmaking techniques, such as incorporating digital imagery in her artistic process. Stylistically she continues to be inventive, exploring new intuitive approaches to printmaking. Inspired by the contrast between nature and the man-made world, art history, poetry and music, she continues to weave subtle visual themes that reveal symbolic meanings within her compositions.

Currently, she is exploring different printmaking techniques: Traditional Etching, Photogravure, Drypoint, Linocut, Woodcut, Collograph, Monoprint, Multiple Plate Reduction and Divided Block Printing.

Sabina’s printmaking imagery visually expresses the dynamic interrelationship of the creative life forces that shape our perception of reality. She creates awareness in the viewer of an internal harmony between nature and the man-madeworld.
